Lab Journey: How Requirements Engineering makes the LIS changeover a success
The introduction of a new laboratory information system (LIS) changes processes and places high demands on organizations.
The “Lab Journey” event organized by the IREB Community Switzerland uses a practical example to show how Requirements Engineering provides structured support for the LIS change, from requirements gathering to implementation. The focus is on proven methods, experiences from highly regulated industries, and insights into complex project environments.
The meet-up will conclude with an open discussion and time for networking.

IREB Community Germany | MeetUp
27.11.2025 17:00
Frankfurt (DE),
adesso insurance solutions GmbH | Herriotstraße 1, 15. OG, 60528 Frankfurt/Main
The IREB Community Germany invites everyone interested in Requirements Engineering, Business Analysis, and related topics to a meetup in Frankfurt. The aim is to facilitate exchange, new perspectives, and valuable networking within the community.
Requirements Engineering lays the foundation for successful digital solutions. But how do requirements become viable concepts? David Gilbert will discuss this in his presentation “Strategy & Solution – A conceptual framework for digital design in companies.” Since 2015, as Chief User Experience Architect in the IT division of Deutsche Bahn, he has been designing the connection between system- and user-oriented software design. At IREB, David is a member of the Digital Design working group.
The meeting will be chaired by Gareth Rogers, Ambassador of the IREB Community Germany.
Event IREB Roundtable | ReqAIrements 04.12.2025 17:00 Online
Oliver Hehlert and Gareth Rogers, ambassadors of the IREB Community Germany, invite you to the next roundtable! Together with Christian Bock (ZIEHL-ABEGG), they will take a critical look at the rapid development of generative AI tools in Requirements Engineering. Tools that formulate requirements in minutes, analyze stakeholder feedback, or deliver design proposals.
What sounds like a dream for every project team also entails risks. After all, a fluently formulated text does not necessarily mean a common understanding.
How can AI be integrated sensibly without losing human coordination? or Where does automation end and where does genuine shared knowledge begin? are just two examples of the questions that will be discussed together at the roundtable.
The roundtable will be held in German.
